Change your name

This registry hack lets you change the name and company you entered while installing Windows.

1 # Fire up the Registry Editor before continuing.

2 # Once you are in the Registry, click on “HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE“; it should expand into more “folders” or “sections“.

3 # Expand the “Software” section.

4 # Expand the “Microsoft” section.

5 # Expand the “Windows NT” section.

6 # Click on the “Current Version” section (do NOT expand this section, jut click on the folder)

7 # Double click the “RegisteredOrganization” entry and change it to what you want it to be, and do the same with “RegisteredOwner“

8 # Exit Regedit
